FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What happens if I am the winning bidder? If you are the winning bidder:
Does my bid include GST?
All lots are sold on a GST exclusive basis unless stated by the auctioneer. Lots entered by entities, that have identified themselves to the Auctioneer as being registered for GST will be in the catalogue. Any items that do not attract a GST status will be said as such in the catalogue.
Are there any fees and charges?
Yes, a buyer’s premium is added to the final price (bid price + GST). The percentage varies by lot, so please refer to the listing for details.
Example: If the winning bid is $100, the final price is $110 (bid price + GST) and the buyer’s premium is 10%, an additional 10% will be added to the final price. The total payable would be $121.
How do the auctions close?
Our Auctions begin closing on the advertised finishing date and time. They close one lot at a time with a 40 or 60 second increment between each lot. If bidders keep bidding on a lot then this lot is extended in time to allow for others to bid. This in turn increases the time for completion of an auction.
